Implementation of Quality, Cost, Delivery (QCD) approaches

As an essential tool for developing customer/supplier cooperation, our team is developing the QCD (Quality-Cost-Delivery) approach. Our aim is to get the procurement, purchasing and quality teams to work together on a joint evaluation of supplier performance, in order to improve the performance of those suppliers whose results fall short of expectations. Through a joint analysis of service quality (meeting delivery promises), product quality and purchasing prices, this approach aims to facilitate the development of supplier relationships by going beyond simple contractual negotiation. Far from penalizing under-performance, our aim is to understand the causes, and to remedy them through actions that can be taken jointly by customer and supplier. Setting up the approach, choosing the indicators, setting the objectives, providing support during the start-up phase – these are just some of the actions taken by our team to make it easier for you to take ownership of supplier performance monitoring. The results of this approach are rapid, as it provides a factual record of the problems to be addressed, and mobilizes both parties in the search for solutions.
